Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her most well-known work is portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was an therapist for speech and family, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said that she attends Passover seders.
